Founded in 1923, John Burroughs School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school nestled in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri. Serving grades 7 through 12, our institution embodies a commitment to a liberal arts education that encompasses a rich blend of academics, arts, athletics, and community engagement. Grant and Scholarship
Admission to John Burroughs School is based on academic records, recommendations, entrance exam results, and personal interviews. We primarily admit students at the 7th and 9th grade levels, with limited openings for grades 10 and 11. We also offer tuition aid to support families with demonstrated financial need.

Our students consistently excel academically, with achievements such as National Merit Semifinalist status and Presidential Scholar recognition. Income from our endowment and Annual Fund supports our mission of providing an exceptional educational experience to every student.
